USA Climbing: Bouldering National Championships
USA Climbing, the United States National Governing Body for Sport Climbing, is bringing the 2020 USA Climbing: Bouldering National Championships to Deschutes County Fairgrounds Expo Center in Bend, OR. The events will feature the most elite adult and youth athletes in the country competing for a place on the national US Team in the discipline of bouldering.
“We’re thrilled to be the host city for Bouldering Nationals,” said Kevney Dugan, Visit Bend CEO. “Smith Rock State Park is regarded by many as the birthplace of American sport climbing, so it’s exciting to offer a venue that’s just a stone’s throw away. We look forward to sharing all our amazing winter recreation opportunities with athletes and fans.”
“As the birthplace of sport climbing in the United States, it is a dream come true to announce that we’ll be bringing the biggest competition in North America to our friends in Bend, OR and the Pacific Northwest,” said Kynan Waggoner, CEO of USA Climbing. “Kevney and his team at Visit Bend have put together a package that is going to ensure that competitors and spectators have an experience that they will never forget! ”
