Located just off Bond Street in the heart of downtown Bend, The Environmental Center hosts over 500 meetings, workshops, trainings, group or club programs, parties, wedding receptions and holiday celebrations each year and offer a couple of great meeting options for your next event seven days a week during daytime and evening hours. The High Desert Room is around 350 square feet and holds up to 25 people theater style. The larger Audubon Room is just over 1000 square feet and can hold up to 80 people theater style. Both rooms come equipped with tables and chairs, whiteboards and projector screens, and between the two rooms is a small lobby (~150 sq. ft.), a small kitchen and two bathrooms near the rear entrance, wireless internet is available throughout the building, and a projector and sound system are available to rent for a small fee. Disabled access is available through the rear door, and one of the restrooms also has disabled access. The grounds are fully landscaped with a small patio, a picnic table in the shade, and a learning garden next to the building. A large, shaded deck, as well as a garden with several picnic tables and benches and shaded areas, are also available for rent. Committed to the practice of Zero Waste for all meetings and events that occur at their facility, The Environmental Center strongly encourages all renters to make a conscious effort to prevent waste and produce as little recyclables, compostables, and trash as possible.
