This campground is probably one of the best kept secrets in the Deschutes Forest. With widely spaced out sites and plenty of tree coverage, it has 12 spots that experience light usage. The access road is gravel/dirt you may want to drive slowly if you are in an RV or trailer, and the campground can get very dusty. However, it is located on about 10 acres of land that and is almost totally surrounded by the the Deschutes River. The sites are large enough for the biggest RV or longest trailer, but there are no facilities (not even water) beyond the vault toilet. Cell phone coverage is available here. Many sites are available for advanced reservations and some are available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis, and all sites are equipped with a picnic table and fire pit and the campground. There is a boat launch is in the area, so don’t forget to strap the canoe to the top of your car before you head out; motorized boating is not permitted. Per night, per site fee: $10/first vehicle; $5/each additional vehicle.
