While most of the campgrounds along the Metolius River are good for RVs of all sizes, Pine Rest is for tent campers only. Next to the upper Metolius River, this campground offers fishing, hiking, and picnicking opportunities. If you’re brave, you can wade in the river but that water is cold. Other than its riverside location, this is a no water facility so campers will need to bring their own supply, which is available at nearby Allingham Campground. All sites are equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill and the campground has vault toilets available. The trail that runs along the Metolius River runs through some of the sites, so place your tent accordingly. Sites are fairly generous and flat, so finding a place to put your tent isn’t a challenge. Rates vary depending on time of year. May to mid-October, pay $16 per night, per site for the first vehicle, and $12 from mid-October to April. Access to the campground is based on snow levels.
